AT&T to buy Wi-Fi provider Wayport for $275 million November 6th, 2008 WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - AT&T Inc. on Thursday said it will acquire privately held Wayport Inc. for $275 million in cash, sharply expanding the number of Wi-Fi hotspots where AT&T customers can get free Internet access.
