Dollar Thrifty expects to report profit in third quarter October 22nd, 2008 LONDON (MarketWatch) — Car rental company Dollar Thrifty Automotive said Wednesday that it expects to report a profit in the third quarter and that it also expects to end the quarter with an unrestricted cash balance in excess of $200 million, up from $80 million at the end of June.
